There are lots of ways to use Exit Tickets in lessons. One simple way which I find works well is to do the following.
- Before your students leave the lesson ask them to write a question they have on an Exit Ticket.
- At the start of the next lesson give these tickets out to the students. Make sure they do not have their own.
- Then get the students to explain the answer to the student who wrote the ticket.
- As a follow up get another student to expand or improve on the answer. This way the whole class needs to be paying attention as they might be asked to expand or improve.
