Quick Marginal Gains – Number 1

By Matt Smith

This is the first of a series on Marginal Gains that may help your teaching.  The emphasis will be very much on tips that can be implemented very easily and with no extra work. They may be ideas that you already use but hopefully they will be new to some.

The first one is simply get your students to answer these questions straight after any assessment, essay or test that is done in a lesson.  It makes them reflect and it is amazing how accurate they are with their review. There is also the bonus that you can simply respond to their comments and so will often save time as you will need to write less feedback.
